ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY CHEERLEADING
Thank you for your interest in ASU Cheerleading!
ASU is truly proud of its current cheer program. We are dedicated to progressing each year, inevitably becoming one of the premiere programs in the nation!
What can ASU Cheerleading offer you?
NO OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES
All equipment (shoes, bags, uniforms, warm-ups, etc.) are provided by the University. Traveling expenses for away games (airline tickets and food) are also paid for by the ASU Cheer Program. In addition, we offer unlimited use of the athletic training facilities.
SCHOLARSHIPS
We currently offer Book Scholarships and additional funding for some members of the squad.
HIGH-QUALITY COACHING/INSTRUCTION
The ASU Cheer Coach, Eric Bumm, has been with us for over four years. Prior to his move to Arizona State, Coach Bumm cheered at the University of Kentucky and coached at both the University of Texas and in Hamburg, Germany. He is currently a Varsity District Sales Manager and is extremely involved with the Universal Cheerleaders Association. Due to the recent growth of the ASU Cheer Program, an assistant coach was needed. Glen Heaton, a former ASU Cheerleader and new assistant coach, is our newest member of the ASU Cheer Family!
DIRECT INVOLVEMENT IN PAC 10 ATHLETICS
Being an ASU Cheerleader provides you with the opportunity to experience some of the most famous cities in the world. During the past few seasons, ASU Cheer has traveled to Santa Barbara for College Cheer Camp and cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, South Bend, and Honolulu for football games.
OPPORTUNITY TO REPRESENT ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY
ASU Cheerleaders positively represent the 4th largest and one of the most well respected public universities in the nation.
If you have any questions or would like an information packet, please contact the Spirit Coordinator, ASU athletics at (480) 965-6004.
